What I learned these past months.
The world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows it’s a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. So choose whether you’ll be the one still on his or her knees or the one who will be willing to get up and fight.
It’s your life and you are in control of it. Don’t ever let anyone tell you any differently. Don’t let people tell you what you can and can’t do so. Don’t let people stick a finger in you and tell you who you are. In life, you will be told phrases, such as ”no” or “you are not allowed to,” or “you are not good enough,” but I’m here to tell you that it’s no one’s right to tell you that. Your have the ability to do what you want and listen to your gut. Don’t let anything detour you from following your dream. If you have a dream you have to protect it. You want something go get it. We are all meant to shine it’s just not in some of us, but it’s in every single one of us so choose to be that doctor, that teacher, that McDonalds executive , choose to be great. We all have the power to change our lives and impact the lives of other. Don’t let the fear of failure keep you from doing what you want. Failure is temporary, it can last for a second or a minute, and eventually it will subside and something else will take its place, but if you quit it will last forever. So don’t quit on your dreams, but more importantly don’t quit on yourself.
Always ask yourself this: what are you doing with your life? Are you living it? Or are you just some mindless drone doing a job and doing minuscule tasks to get paid. Get out there and live your life and do what you want to do. I hope that inner fire that’s in every single one of us never burns out.
